Ceramics courses

The teaching program in the studio is conceived so that interested persons can progress from their first contact with ceramic material to meeting creative people in the sphere of artistic ceramics in the programs for more advanced students.

The programs, usually one-week long with a capacity of 12 persons, have been certified in the framework of the system of further education. For better orientation, they are ordered according to difficulty and are arranged in 5 branches: modeling, throwing on the wheel, casting, decoration and instructor. Instruction takes place from February to December each year and over 700 programs have been held over the 17 years of existence of the studio. This is an open system; participants can attend only a single module, can participate in a professional conference or can visit supplementary workshops. The studio is also open to non-Czech-speaking participants – some of the programs are also provided in the English language.
